I just wanted to use the page to share some information about myself and the blog…
So here it goes… My love of books has been a life long passion. This can be shown through my pursits in Higher Education (Masters Degree in Library and Information Sciences & a Bachelor of Arts in English with a specialty in Creative Writing and a Minor in Women’s Studies) and employment for about 8 years in two different bookstores (Barnes & Noble and a local Independent Bookstore). The reason why I created this blog was so it could be a forum for me to be able to share and express my love of all things nerdy and geektastic!
I want to warn you all that I will also tend to post about books. If you couldn’t already tell from my studies (and my job) I am an avid reader and love to share and talk about new books and even old favorites. I always get so excited when I am reading and discovering a new book and I love to share that new discovery with as many people as possible. This is where my other blog (Y.A. Book Addict) comes in.
This is also where I want to give you another fair warning that when I love something and their respective fandom… I tend to get a bit fandomsessed. So please forgive me if I tend to sometimes ‘binge’ post on particular Fandoms.
While on the topic of Fandoms: There are many Fandoms that I am in love with and listed below are some of them but my love and appreciation for SciFi / Fantasy is not limited to just these!
Television: Agents of Shield, Angel, Arrow, Being Human (U.K. and U.S. Version), Blood Ties, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Dark Angel, Doll House, The Finder, Firefly, Ghost Whisperer, Grimm, Haven, Legend of the Seeker, Leverage, Nikita, Once Upon A Time, The Originals, Secret Circle, Sanctuary, Sleepy Hollow, Smallville, Supergirl, Supernatural, The Tomorrow People, Tru Calling, Vampire Diaries, Veronica Mars, Warehouse 13 and Witches of East End.

Marvel vs. D.C. Comics: While I love both… In the end, I am a Marvel girl at heart!
Marvel Favorites: The Avengers, Black Widow, Captain America, Deadpool, Gambit, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Rouge, Thor, Winter Soldier, X-Men
D.C. Favorites: Arrow, Batman, Superman
As for the books: While I love books of all different shapes, sizes, colors, and genres I tend to favor Young Adult Literature the most. In turn when I do post about books I will focus mainly on YA Lit. but that doesn’t mean that I would be opposed to featuring other types of Literature on my blog. When I do post about books more than likely it will because I will be posting a feature on their respective Television or Movies counterpart.
My blog Y.A. Book Addicts was featured in two CNN.com articles and I was quoted in each of them!!! Check them out below:
– Also, I can’t forget… Thank you Ashley! I appreciate you taking your time to talk with me. I hope we can stay in contact.
Finally, below are some of the result from online quizzes and tests that I have taken in relation to some of the YA Books and Movie and T.V. Series that I love! Other tests and fun stuff will be coming soon! If you would like to take them just click on the link that is right above each image…
You got: Anna and Kristoff from “Frozen”
You want to be with someone who you would trust with anything, and who can trust you just as much. Can you tell each other your deepest, most ridiculous fears? Yup. Are you willing to pick each other up from the airport, day or night? Absolutely. If you are in jail, would you both dig an escape tunnel for the other? Yeah, you’d probably do that, too.
You got: Sven from “Frozen”
You’re generally a down-to-earth, independent type and Sven is there for you in nearly any situation. He has a bad habit of picking at your food, but overall he’s the one you can talk to about everything and nothing.
Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling (Official Pottermore Results):
You got: A Horse
You’re loyal, smart, and willing to take risks for the sake of your friends and family. Your Patronus takes the form of a Horse, the same as Ginny Weasley. You’re an underrated badass and enemies should be cautious of your hexing skills.
Lord of the Rings Test and Quizzes:
Congratulations! You’ll end up with the dwarf Kili. He’s very handsome, has a great sense of humor although his jokes are sometimes a bit too much. He’s playful and mischievous and likes getting into trouble, but he’s very skilled with his bow and once he’s fallen in love, he would never stop thinking about her.
Congratulations! You’ll end up with the dwarf Fili! As the older brother of Kili, Fili is a very dependable guy. He would take great care of you and would love you forever. He’s a very skilled fighter, but sometimes a bit reckless. He loves to drink and have fun, but would always come back to his beloved one.
You got: Buffy Summers
Simply put, you are the chosen one. You save the world time and time again, and it’s like everyone doesn’t even notice. But it’s fine, you keep your head up, your stakes sharp, and your banter witty.
